POWERNEEMA®

Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Rope

Made of High-Modulus Polyethylene (HMPE) fibre — high in strength, light in weight and low in elongation. Under the same diameter it weighs only ~12 % of steel wire and 20–25 % of nylon or polyester, at a diameter just 55–60 % of equivalent nylon/polyester rope. Types II and III add enhanced abrasion resistance. Supplied in compliance with OCIMF MEG4.

Why HMPE? The highest strength-to-weight ratio of any rope fibre — stronger than steel by weight, yet it floats and absorbs almost no water. Ideal where line handling, weight and snap-back safety matter.

POWERNEEMA® variants

Engineered options for snap-back safety and abrasion-critical service.

POWERNEEMA RRR
HMPE · Reduced recoil

POWERNEEMA® RRR

Reduced-Recoil-Risk · 12-strand

Strength equivalent to steel wire at one-eighth the weight, engineered to significantly reduce snap-back risk versus traditional synthetic rope — easier to handle, saving mooring time and fuel.

POWERNEEMA Jacketed
HMPE · Dual-layer

POWERNEEMA® Jacketed

Dual-layer braided HMPE · 12-strand

HMPE core inside an HMPE or polyester braided jacket. The cover protects the load-bearing core for excellent abrasion resistance, while elastic inner components absorb recoil energy to reduce snap-back risk.
